Every second small business in the US uses Square in some capacity, but not all of them use Square for their banking. Courting existing customers to consolidate their finances is just smart business.

CLEANING UP
Square banking was doing well but the behind the scenes files were a combination of screens that didn't match live product, disconnected components, and duplicative work. Anyone who's been on a large team that's been around for a while is probably familiar with some part of this scenario.

TRANSPARENCY
Most of my time at Square Banking was spent cleaning up files, rebuilding existing pages, applying detached styles, correcting inconsistencies between Figma and production, and relentlessly correcting padding and margins across the product.
